49ers cut Jarryd Hayne, promote Kendall Gaskins

The San Francisco 49ers cut Jarryd Hayne and promoted Kendall Gaskins to the active roster from the practice squad. Gaskins attended Richmond where he had 605 rushing yards on 148 carries, as a senior. He finished his career second all-time in total rushing touchdowns with 38 in school history. Hayne (6-2, 220) signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on March 3, 2015. He appeared in six games this season and registered eight carries for 25 yards and returned eight punts for 76 yards on special teams.
