Bengals DT Mike Daniels among Super Bowl inactives

Defensive tackle Mike Daniels is one of the Cincinnati Bengals’ seven inactive players for Sunday’s Super Bowl LVI against the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood, Calif.

Daniels, 32, missed the past two Cincinnati postseason victories due to a groin injury sustained in the AFC wild-card victory against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Daniels played in just two games this season. The 10-year veteran was a Pro Bowl selection for the Green Bay Packers in 2017.

Also inactive for the Bengals are cornerback Vernon Hargreaves, defensive end Wyatt Ray, defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin, offensive lineman Fred Johnson, receiver Trenton Irwin and running back Trayveon Williams.

As expected, tight end C.J. Uzomah is set to play after recovering from a knee injury sustained in the AFC Championship win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Rams made the following players inactive: quarterback Bryce Perkins, running back Jake Funk, offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum Jr., defensive lineman Bobby Brown III, outside linebackers Chris Garrett and Terrell Lewis and defensive back Blake Countess.

Los Angeles also is without tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) and offensive tackle Joe Noteboom (chest) after the two players were placed on injured reserve on Friday.
