NFL Week 8 Football Props: Rams vs. Packers

NFL Week 8 Football Props: Rams vs. Packers

The Rams continue to roll. Boasting an impressive 7-0 start, they’re the favorites to win Super Bowl 53. Jared Goff is playing as an MVP candidate, Aaron Donald is Wreaking havoc for QBs in the backfield, Todd Gurley the unstoppable force that has yet to meet the immovable object. They’ve posted 235 points and allowed only 128 (a point differential of +107). It’s true, 3 of those games were against the dismally woeful 49ers, Cardinals, and Raiders. However, starting Sunday, they’ll begin a tough stretch, facing the Packers, Saints, and Seahawks before heading into their Bye Week.

Green Bay is coming off of a much-needed bye week. Their wide-receiving corps hasn’t seemed to be 100% healthy since week 1. Aaron Rodgers has slowly but surely been improving his mobility, allowing him to be more of a threat outside of the pocket. The Rams pose their biggest challenge of the season so far, and a win this week (combined with a Minnesota loss) would put the Packers atop the NFC North. After the Rams, the Packers play New England, Miami, Seattle and Minnesota, and only the game vs the Dolphins is at home.

It’s interesting to note that the Packers are 0-2 on the road, and 1 field goal away from being 4-0 at home. The Rams are averaging just over 35 Points at home and 32 on the road, so it doesn’t really matter where they play. Los Angeles comes in as 9-point favorites to a game that very likely will have playoff implications down the line.

NFL Week 7 Football Props: Patriots vs. Bears

NFL Week 7 Football Props: Patriots vs. Bears

It’s official: The Patriots are legitimate. Except for those living in New England, most people were silently hoping that this would be the year that the AFC reign of the Patriots would end. Following a 1-2 start, Patriots fans may have been a bit skeptical, but likely remembered that they’ve dropped at least one of the first four games over in 2017 and 2016. Since week 3, New England has put up 38+ points, and just last week took down the previously undefeated Kansas City Chiefs in a 43-40 shootout. New England is strong, and looking to continue their hot streak.

Now the Bears have certainly found their guy in Mitch Trubisky. He’s tossed his way to 11 touchdowns, only 4 interceptions, and a QBR of 105.6. He’s put together a solid 3-2 start for the Bears, who currently sit atop the NFC North, even though the Vikings and Packers are right behind them. Four of their five games have been decided by less than one score. In those games, they’re 2-2, and allowed both the Packers and Dolphins to stage 4th quarter comebacks that led to losses for the Bears. The rout over the Buccaneers gave Chicago faithful a great deal of hope, but Sunday’s matchup with New England will be a true test for them. They come in as 3 point underdogs, but their explosive offense could prove challenging for the Patriots. Plus Khalil Mack will likely make Tom Brady’s life a bit more difficult.

NFL Week 6 Football Props: Chiefs vs. Patriots

The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots have both been playing exceptional football. Following a rocky 1-2 start, the Patriots have bounced back with 2 commanding victories over the Dolphins and Colts. Aided by Josh Gordon and the return of Julian Edelman, New England seems to have found it’s offensive rhythm they lacked in the first three weeks. They Currently sit atop the AFC East. There were many who considered the Jaguars’ defense to be the only thing that could slow down the dynamics Kansas City offense. The week 5 matchup started with the Chiefs taking a 20-0 lead by halftime, with Blake Bortles having thrown a couple of interceptions. Jacksonville managed to get on the board, but there was never really any hope for a second-half comeback as the Chiefs rolled to a 30-14 victory. Sunday night we’ll get to see the Chiefs head to New England to face their potentially toughest challenge of the season, although they will travel to LA to face the Rams in November.
